So, some of you have chosen to go private lately. Here is your chance to give your opinion.
What are the benefits of being private or not? Why have you decided to do what you have done?
I guess I think it's a bit easier to check when you are public, because I can see who has updated as soon as I open my blog. But, I guess that's not the biggest deal. I also think my life is boring enough that strangers shouldn't really care. But, I guess you can never be too careful these days.
I'll decide soon and if I decide to go private, I will try to send out invites to everyone I know who looks at my blog. If not, drop me a line and your e-mail and I will send an invite.
The private or not argument...I decided not to go private, but to monitor my comments so that nothing gets posted that I don't want on there. And just don't share TOO much personal information, and I think you'll be fine. That's just my opinion :)
ReplyDeleteI wonder the same as you do. However, I have found a couple of friends or they have found me. And I don't think that would have happened if I had been private.
ReplyDeleteI've been wondering the same thing. I think my parents & grandparents would have troubles trying to log on. That is one of the biggest reasons I keep it public. I can't decide what I want to do...
ReplyDeleteI went private because my blog is just to keep in touch with friends. I put a lot of picture of Kambria on it and there are just to many psychos out there and I didn't want people I didn't know reading it. But it is hard not being able to see updates without checking...pros and cons to both I guess. (that wasn't much help)
ReplyDeleteIt's a tuff call. I went private for a while just because I had wierdos looking at our blog to often. But since I have opened it up I haven't had a problem(knock on wood). Some of my family would have a hard time checking it so I'm leaving it open for now! It's hard to know. Good luck !
ReplyDeleteFor me to decide to go private is mostly because of the store. I want to be able to share my life with my friends (that I never see and live in my neighborhood) and family that live further out, but not have to worry about a customer being offended because of something I said. Kind of like because I am out 'in the public' I can't yell at my kids at Walmart :) Just church...jk.
ReplyDeleteIf you do decide to go private I would love an invite!
ReplyDeleteI would love to have an invite too, if that's okay. I love reading about you and your family. :)
