Deja Vu

Today B brought home his class picture. I had to get out my picture of me with the same teacher. I probably wouldn't have believed it if someone had told me in 4th grade that 20 years later, my oldest son would have the same teacher for 1st grade.

B in first grade:

Me, twenty years ago, with the same teacher, in 4th grade.
Small world!

  1. You think it's weird for you? Imagine how the teacher feels! :) Austin and Ashley had the same Kindergarten teacher Justin had in Kindergarten at the same school. The kids thought that was cool though.

  2. I bet that makes your son's teacher feel old. Your class picture is great. I was trying to see how many people I recognize.

  3. Ha ha! That's funny. One of my friends that I taught with started having kids of previous students. I bet that makes teachers feel old.

  4. Talk about Deja Vu....your principal was my 6th grade teacher! It is such a small world and getting smaller all the time!

Is your hair naturally that curly? You are such a cutie in your picture!

What amazes me most looking at old class pictures is how huge our class sizes were....28-30 kids was the norm!

  5. No, my mom lined up her 6 girls every few months to give us perms so it would be easier. My hair doesn't have a natural wave in it. That's funny that she was your teacher.

  6. Wow! That's amazing! I didn't know Ms.Almond was your teacher too. Did you go to Hillview?

  7. That is kind of nuts. How fun though. Does she remember you very well?

  8. It used to be that Hillview was K- half of 3rd grade, and Ammon was the other half of 3rd grade-6th so I actually went to both. I was at Ammon when I had Mrs. Almond.
She did remember me. She was quite shocked when I showed up to Back-to-School night. I think I was the first with a child in her class. I was kind of a brat in 4th grade.
