Our Trip: Part One: Our Disneyworld Resort

Disneyworld, you say? I thought you were going on a cruise?

Well, that was what we had planned on doing for our vacation.
However, we are cheap (or frugal as Tristan would like to say).
How would being cheap lead us to going to Disneyworld?
Well, we got free airline tickets by getting an American Express card
and these were the closest dates we got to when our cruise
was embarking and disembarking (these are words I learned on the cruise!).

Sooo, we were forced to spend some extra time in Orlando. Bummer!
My lovely in-laws were not only nice enough to watch my kids for 2 weeks,
they were nice enough to let us use some of their nights at a Disney Resort.
So, all the money we saved on airline we used on tickets to Disneyworld.

Now, a word on Disney. I used to not get it. The first time I went was in
5th grade, and I went with my step-grandma and her step-granddaughter
that I didn't know. We were there for one day and I don't remember much.
I didn't go back until three years ago. Now I've done Disney for three years in a row.

Before this, I was kind of annoyed that people thought Lagoon was dumb.
Lagoon rocked! Now, I get it. There is nothing like a Disney experience, and as much fun as
Disneyland is, it is nothing compared to Disneyworld.

Each of the 4 parks are so incredible, and there is so much to do for every age group.
My favorite parks are Epcot and Hollywood studios. You even get entertainment while you wait in line. I think everyone needs to experience Disney in their lives!

Anyway, here are some of our views from our Disney Resort, which was very nice!

Our view from our first room:

Our view from our second room (it was right across from Downtown Disney and the Lego Store)

We got good at taking our own pictures using the time because people got annoyed at being asked all of the time!

Hopefully I will post more soon!

  2. How nice to have some in-laws that would watch your kids. Oh I'd kill for that. That's awesome that you were able to spend a few days in Orlando. I too would love to go to Disneyworld sometime. Looks like it was fun

  4. What an amazing time you must have had! We went to Disneyland for the first time last year and I've been aching to go back ever since! I better not go to Disneyworld if it makes you not want to go back to Disneyland - it's alot cheaper to go there!
